Freedom and space -both in my mind and in my heart- are what I experienced during my wilderness trail in 2019. Born in the seventies and raised along the dunes and shores of the Dutch coast, I pursued a degree in business administration in Rotterdam. Today, I reside in Amsterdam with my wife and two children. After spending over 15 years in the corporate sector, I transitioned to local government, seeking a more meaningful and socially impactful career. <\/p>\n

I\u2019ve come to realize that while there is nothing inherently wrong with an office job -filled with screen time, endless meetings, and constant collaboration- there is great value in taking occasional breaks to embrace silence and nature. These moments allow you to detach from the daily routines and connect with a deeper part of yourself. During my wilderness trail, I uncovered the power of nature. The space and beauty I encountered inspired me to redirect my focus as an organizational consultant. No longer am I solely concerned with boosting profits and cutting costs; my emphasis has shifted towards enhancing the positive and minimizing the negative impacts that organizations have on people and the environment. Personal growth requires time, attention, and energy. Immersed in nature, you will find the space you need to reflect and gain insight.
