Rob Humphry
Guide
Most of his life he enjoyed the pleasures of nature, visiting wildlife areas in most of the countries in Southern and East Africa. Some years back he decided that he would like to share some of these pleasures and experiences from his travels with others. To achieve this objective, it was necessary to have a guiding qualification. Through the Wilderness Leadership School (WLS) he attained his guiding qualification which is overseen by the Field Guides Association of SA (FGASA). He then decided to study further for the Level 2 Trails guide course and have logged hundreds of hours guiding in the Zululand game Parks as well as the Okavango Delta in Botswana and Namibia. The FGASA training which he has undergone covered 16 varied modules which include Geology, astronomy, weather, ecology, animal behavior and many more. Level 2 covered mainly the Big 5 and rifle handling. ‘It is incredibly rewarding to share my knowledge, passion and experience with people that have similar interests in nature, and to encourage others to appreciate and understand the beauty of our natural areas’.
