‘Coincidence does not exist’ is often a primary reaction when something unexpected happens to us. Yet there are lines that come together in your life that have their origin in the unknown. Joseph Jaworski has written two interesting books about this – ‘Synchronicity’ and ‘The Origin’. “For me, two important interests also come together in this trail. First of all, my personal development as a human being, born 60 years ago and through a youth ended up in a field that took me abroad.” In the 1980s on vacation in Rwanda he met his wife, and over two years later he was in the Parc National De L’Akagera with his family for his work. Rwanda, then still French-speaking, has had a great influence, with his youngest daughter even being born there. Back in the Netherlands he held all kinds of managerial and administrative positions, starting as a young thirty-something in management.

Through intense learning experiences, he was confronted with the fact that leadership has multiple facets. The most important was that it all starts with yourself as a human being. Get to know your own self, connect your head and your heart, and look at your own self and your environment with all your senses. This brought him to the Foundation for Natural Leadership after several wanderings. His first trail in 2011 in the Drakensberg Mountains gave him many insights that have made him a more complete person in all areas, private, personal and professional.
