Hans de Boer

Hans worked in the Ministry of Defense for over ten years, as a professional officer in the Royal Army. After that he was a lawyer for over thirty years. And now; NOBCO-trained coach and NOBTRA-trained trainer. Leadership development has always been of interest to him since his training in Defense. As an officer he had to lead in a highly hierarchical organization, but at the same time he had to give his people space for their own initiative. This sometimes led to interesting fields of tension. And nice discussions. After that, as a lawyer, he ‘managed’ his clients. This often came down to (legal) coaching. He now trains and coaches from his experience. He finds the concept of Natural, Authentic Leadership very valuable in that context. It actually always starts with self-knowledge.

As Tom Hopkins once remarked: Getting in touch with your true self must be your first priority. He sees nature as an important facilitator to get in touch with yourself. In the end we are nature itself. In the Trails of the Foundation the above aspects all come together. Self-awareness, stimulated by an impactful experience of nature, which creates space for authenticity.
