Mandla Buthelezi

Mandla Buthelezi was born in 1972 in rural Zululand where he grew up in the wild with a lifetime of experience in nature. Mandla, also know as “The Lion man” because of his close connection with lions. Mandla attributes his early encounters with lions as stoking his love for the wild. Mandla is now a senior Trails officer with the Wilderness Wilderness Leadership School and has over 20 years experience leading Wilderness Trails in the Umfolozi, Marataba and other Wilderness areas across Southern Africa. A master story teller with an intimate connection to wild animals, trails with Mandla are always very special experiences.
