Martin Hanke

Martin lives in the Pfälzerwald (Palatinate Forest, Germany). His friends call him “Old Raven”. From the age of 20, he guided tours in the wilderness of northern Scandinavia and has remained on this track to this day.

He says about himself: “It is a joy for me to go out into nature and see the effect intensive experiences in the open air have on people.” His favorite pastimes are birding, tracking and bushcraft. But he is also curious about other types of outdoor life, such as mammals, plants and ‘little crawlies’. He has been trained as a wilderness educator and a psychological coach and has also completed a training in nature connection. In addition, he is a member of the fire brigade and of a men’s circle in his village.
